Love this place. Love the food. Love the…
Having family of middle eastern decent i was ecstatic that taste of Greek is in my neighborhood, i started eating at this place 6 months ago and have gotten to know Stephen(owner) pretty well. He takes pride in everything he serves, its all fresh from the salads to the dinner plates and the portions are huge. Stephen puts in long hours to make sure everything is perfect and tastes delicious. If you are Lebanese or a garlic lover, ask Stephen for some garlic sauce. Its the perfect mix of flavor for any of his meat dishes

The only thing that would improve this taco…
I have lived in or traveled for business to most of the major cities in the US and have tried sushi in every location. This is the BEST I've ever had. Beats out NY, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, and other Phoenix locales HANDS DOWN! All of their ingredients are fresh (and I know this first-hand from one of their suppliers--who is Japanese and who first sent us here) and delicious. Portions are HUGE--whilst price is not. What I really appreciate is that this is a clean, well-maintained, low-key, casual restaurant, NOT some over-the-top, snotty, super-expensive, "trendy" location (read: NY) that gives you tiny, tiny portions in a low-light environment in the hopes that you'll think you're part of the "cool" crowd. Every time I go to Sushi Ken I walk out stuffed, happy, and not broke! I NEVER leave here hungry (which is more than I can say for NY or Chicago). Can't compare it to a true Japanese experience as I've never been there, but when their supplier tells me "this is about as authentic as it gets in the US" I take her word for it. If you're looking for delicious, SUPER-SIZED sushi at a great price, you've got to give it a try! PS: they have a full complement of other menu items that my wife orders and, so far, have all been delicious, fresh, super-sized, and well-priced.

We hosted 50 people here for dinner before…
I am a Chicago Guy,

Born there, raised there. Lived there over 30,years.

So when I heard that Al's Beef of Chicago had reopened here in Scottsdale, I went back to remembering the Al's in Chicago. Thin sliced well seasoned, juicy, italian beef on a crispy Italian roll with sweet peppers.

I had also heard that this place had closed because of problems and was under new management ,so I had my doubts, but it was early Saturday afternoon and why not give it a try.

Being a very particular ex-Chicagoan, I wrote down exactly what I had always ordered in an Italian beef from the Al's in Chicago, on crispy bread, wet, loaded with sweet peppers, cut in half with a side of fries... and asked my wife to pick it up while she was running errands,

When she got there, I asked her to call me back so that I could talk to the order person and make sure they understood my writing and got it right.

I talked with the person there and what came home wasn't even close.
The beef was tough and dry, the roll not at all crispy and soaked to pieces and there were no peppers on it at all. They even managed not to bother to cut in half.

When I complained to the manager, Barry, he offered to make it over or take care of us next time, but why would we bother. There were fewer that 6 people in the restaurant when they screwed it up the first time, So my wife went back for a refund and Barry had the audacity to ask us to pay for the fries!

My advice to anyone look for real, well prepared Chicago food. Stay away from this pretender and go to Spinaatos.
